How it works

1. Upload your FB2

Both .fb2 and .fb2.zip are accepted, up to 50 MB. No account needed for a one-off translation.

2. Pick language and level

80+ target languages. Optionally simplify the text to a CEFR reading level (A1–C2) for language learning.

3. Download the translated FB2

Most books are ready in under an hour. You get an email with the download link — upload FB2, get FB2 back.

Built for FB2 — not a converter workaround

Most translation tools don’t support FB2 at all: the usual advice is to convert the book to another format first, translate it, and convert back — losing structure on every step. We translate FB2 natively. The translated book keeps chapters, metadata, images and basic styling, and stays a valid FB2 file that opens in PocketBook, FBReader, KOReader and other readers.

Frequently asked questions

What is the FB2 format?

FB2 (FictionBook 2) is an XML-based ebook format especially popular among readers in Ukraine and across Eastern Europe. It stores the book structure — chapters, metadata, images — in a single file, and is supported by readers like PocketBook, KOReader and FBReader. We accept both .fb2 and .fb2.zip files and return the translation in the same format.

Will the formatting, chapters and table of contents be preserved?

Yes. We keep the original structure intact — chapters, table of contents, footnotes, images, and basic styling all carry through to the translated book.

Can I translate DRM-protected books?

No. Files with DRM copy protection (for example books bought on Amazon or Apple Books) cannot be opened for translation. Upload DRM-free EPUB or FB2 files — for instance books from DRM-free stores, public-domain libraries, or your own files.

How much does it cost?

Translation starts from $3.99 per book — subscribers pay from $2.79. You see the exact price before you pay — no surprises. Pay once per book, or subscribe for monthly credits and discounts up to 30%.

How long does translation take?

Most books are ready in under 60 minutes. Short stories take minutes; a full novel usually 20–40 minutes. You'll get an email when it's ready. We'll email you a download link as soon as your book is ready. Time depends on book length and current load.

Which languages can I translate into?

We support 80+ target languages including all major European languages (Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Ukrainian, Dutch, Swedish, Greek, Hungarian, Czech), Asian languages (Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Hindi), Middle Eastern languages (Arabic, Hebrew, Turkish, Persian), and many more. The full list is shown when you configure a translation.
